New York 2018 (recap)

This past Labor day weekend, my wife Mendy and I traveled again to New York to visit our daughter (Ashley) and her boyfriend (Ian). They’ve moved since our last visit from Staten Island to Newark, NJ. So, it was a different commute. We got off of the plane and onto an ‘Air Train’  then the Long Island Railroad and finally to a New Jersey Transit train to Newark Penn. Lot’s of trains – which was cool… to me at least.

Both Newark Penn station and New York Penn station would become very familiar over the next 10 days!

Being our second visit to the big apple, there were things that we had already ‘checked off’ of our tourist list the first time. That was both good and presented a challenge for things to do this time. Fortunately, there is so much to do in New York that there’s no shortage of ideas.

According to the pedometer in my phone, I walked over 75 miles during our visit!  No wonder I’m so tired!

Rather than go through a minute-by-minute or even day-by-day account, I’ll just share a few of the photos that I made during the visit. Most, but not all, of these have already been highlighted on my Facebook page – if you’re not already someone who ‘likes’ that page, the question is;  Why not? It’s totally free!  🙂

I’ll be happy to answer any questions about our trip (or New York), that I might me about to answer.

We had a great visit and can’t wait to see Ashley and Ian again – hopefully very soon!
