One of the most rewarding things about being a landscape photographer is the oppurtunity to get out early and beat the crowd. It’s very quiet in the morning and it gives you time to focus your thoughts and just concentrate on the moment.

Sunrise is the best time of day for this. There just something special about waiting to see the first glow of a new day. It’s something that has a unique appeal to everyone. It’s an individual ‘happening’. 🙂

This photograph was made just as the sun was breaking over the tress over the Mardi Gras fountain out at the lakefront. I had the place all to myself – which is the way I like it! 🙂
